Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sarang ("we", "us") for using the Sarang app and trysarang.com. By creating an account, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Who can use Sarang

• You must be 18 or older.
• You must sign up with your own phone number, and have only one account.
• You can't use Sarang if we've removed you before, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.

2. How Sarang works

You can like up to five people at a time by their phone numbers. If two people like each other, they both get a match. Otherwise, nobody is told who liked them. Discover is an optional way to meet people nearby. We don't promise that you'll get a match, or that anyone is who they say they are.

You can subscribe in the app to extra likes, which let you like up to ten people at a time. The subscription renews every month until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. Payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms, and they handle cancellations and refunds under their policies. When your subscription ends or is refunded, you're back to five: your newest likes beyond five are taken back, except people you've already matched with. The subscription belongs to your Sarang account. Deleting your account doesn't cancel the subscription; cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings. If you sign up again, you can restore it on your new account from the same App Store or Google Play account.

3. Be kind and honest

When you use Sarang, don't:

• harass, threaten, stalk or pressure anyone, on Sarang or because of something you learned on it
• pretend to be someone else, or use a phone number that isn't yours
• use hints, names or reports to share someone's personal details, or to say anything hateful, sexual or abusive
• upload a photo that isn't of you, or one that's sexual, violent or hateful
• try to find out who likes someone, or who someone likes, other than by liking them yourself
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools, or try to get around the like limit, blocks or other protections
• use Sarang to advertise, sell, or collect people's data
• break the law, or help anyone else do any of this

4. What you add

You're responsible for what you add to Sarang, such as hints, your Discover profile and photo, and reports. You let us store it and show it as the app and our Privacy Policy describe, only to run Sarang. It's still yours.

5. Inviting people

Invites are sent from your own phone, by you. Only invite people who know you. We never message your contacts.

6. Safety

We don't run background checks. Take care when you talk to or meet someone: meet in public, tell a friend, and trust your instincts. Use block and report, in Discover or on a match, if someone makes you uncomfortable, and contact local emergency services if you're in danger.

7. Removing accounts

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or delete accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. You can stop using Sarang and delete your account in Settings at any time.

8. Changes to Sarang

We may change, add or remove features, or stop offering Sarang. If we stop offering it, we'll try to tell you first.

9. No warranties

Sarang is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for you.

10. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for how other people behave, on Sarang or off it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll let you know before they take effect. If you keep using Sarang after that, you accept the new terms.
