Like a friend?

Find out if it's mutual.

Add the numbers of people you like. If one of them adds you too, you both find out. If not, nobody ever knows it was you.

They don't need to be on Sarang yet.

Everyone has someone.

Saying it first is the hard part. With Sarang, nobody has to.

The friend from school you never toldYour favorite person at workSomeone from your cousin's weddingYour best friend, honestlyThe one you keep running into

How it works

No awkward conversations. Only good news.

1

Pick who you like

Pick people from your contacts, one at a time. Sarang never sees the rest of your address book.

2

Your like waits for them

They don't need to be on Sarang. If they join later and add you, it still counts. Invite them with a message that doesn't mention anyone you like.

3

Hear only when it's mutual

The moment you've both added each other, you both get a match. Until then, they'll never know it's you.

Private by design

If it's not mutual, nobody ever knows it was you.

Not them, not your friends, not anyone who picks up your phone.

Your likes are yours alone

Only you can see who you've added. Sarang never tells anyone they've been liked by you. If you leave a hint, it only says where and when you met.

No names on your lock screen

A match shows up as "You have a new match", never who, so it stays private if someone sees your phone.

Leave anytime

Delete your account from Settings, and your likes and matches are deleted with it.

Hints

Get a hint, not a name.

When you add someone, you can leave a hint about where you met. They'll know someone from that part of their life likes them, but never who.

Curious? Like them back to find out.

Discover

Or meet someone who wants the same life.

Answer a few questions about marriage, money, family and kids, then see people nearby, sorted by how much you agree. It takes about two minutes, and it's completely optional.

Nobody sees your answers, only the topics where you agree. People see your city and a rounded distance, never your location. Show your photo to everyone, only once you match, or not at all.

Questions

Good to know

Will they know I added them?

Not unless they add you too. When they join they may see that someone likes them, but never who. If they add you back, it's a match.

What if they're not on Sarang?

Your like waits. If they join later and add you, you'll both get a match. You can invite them with a message that doesn't mention anyone you like.

Why can't I like everyone?

So a like means something, and so nobody can add everyone they know to find out who likes them.

Can people see my phone number?

Nobody can look it up. Only people who already have your number can add you. In Discover, your number stays hidden unless you choose to share it with a match.

Does Sarang read my contacts?

No. Sarang doesn't ask for access to your contacts. When you add someone, your phone's own contact picker opens, and Sarang only gets the one person you pick. Only their number is sent; their name stays on your phone.

Someone may have added you already.

Likes added before you join still count. Join, like them back, and find out who.
